Any donation made to Newlife for its Christmas Campaign during the week of December 2 and 9 will have twice the impact as part of Newlife\u2019s Big Give Christmas Challenge.<\/p>\n
Once \u00a36,000 has been raised it immediately unlocks match funding and doubles the pot to \u00a312,000, to be added to its Christmas Campaign, The Gift of Play, which aims to help more children receive the vital sensory toys they need.<\/p>\n
The Big Give campaign has been helping charities since 2007 with the simple aim of making double the difference. To do this they bring together large donors and philanthropists with the giving public and the charities which need them to create match funding. This year Newlife is being supported by corporate sponsor TFH Ltd, which supplies all the sensory toys for Newlife Play Therapy Pods as well as those used in the Community Play sessions, and Big Give champion Reed Foundation.<\/p>\n
Newlife is committed to helping children with disabilities across the UK and provides a range of services to help them develop, thrive and live life to the fullest. One of the ways Newlife helps achieve this is through its free Play Therapy Pod service which provides the 12-week loan of a carefully curated box of sensory and developmental toys to help children explore the world around them, which can have a huge impact on their development.<\/p>\n
These specialist toys use tactile materials, light and sound to encourage learning as well as improve relaxation, give enjoyment and help to distract from pain.<\/p>\n
