{"id":22241,"date":"2024-12-24T09:50:06","date_gmt":"2024-12-24T09:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newlifecharity.co.uk\/?p=22241"},"modified":"2024-12-24T09:51:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T09:51:59","slug":"a-call-for-help-newlifes-christmas-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newlifecharity.co.uk\/a-call-for-help-newlifes-christmas-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"A call for help &#8211; Newlife&#8217;s Christmas campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All of Newlife\u2019s families know how important our Nurse helpline is, and this year the amazing services is at the centre of our Christmas campaign.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Newlife Nurse Helpline is a lifeline for families, not just in the run up to the festive season, but all year round, so families can talk to a professionally qualified, registered nurse with a wealth of experience, who truly understands.<\/p>\n<p>The help provided by the Newlife Nurse Helpline to families is often life-changing \u2013 but calls to the helpline have risen by more than 73 per cent% year on year so we need your help to ensure our Newlife Nurses can continue to be there for everyone who needs them.<\/p>\n<p>A mum called Danielle recently contacted our Nurse Helpline for help with a specialist buggy for her 10-year-old son Harry, who has Autism. They hadn\u2019t left the house in more than two years following a deeply traumatic experience which had a severe impact on Harry \u2013 to the point where he even stopped eating<\/p>\n<p>Local services that could have provided support had been closed due to funding cuts, and despite Danielle\u2019s countless letters to her MP, her pleas for help remained completely unresolved.
