Giving Tuesday on November 28 is a reminder to everyone of just how important giving to charity is \u2013 enabling some of the most vulnerable in our society to receive the help they need. Whether you give \u00a31 or \u00a3100, every penny truly counts \u2013 and for those who would like to give their time instead of funds, that is gratefully received too.<\/p>\n

Disabled and terminally ill children and their families across the UK depend on Newlife \u2013 and for many the charity is a lifeline, providing the equipment and support they haven\u2019t been able to access anywhere else. But like many charities, we can only continue to provide the help they need if we have the funds to do so, which is why fundraising is so important.<\/p>\n

Newlife doesn\u2019t receive any Government help, so to raise funds it has grown a network of 10 shops across the UK which, along with its online store, sells stock donated from high street retailers at massively reduced prices. This helps enormously, but we still need fundraising activity and events throughout the year \u2013 from individuals and organisations \u2013 to help raise extra funds to help the thousands of families of disabled children that turn to us each year.<\/p>\n

As the largest charity provider of specialist equipment in the UK, we know that the right equipment at the right time can change the life of a child; keeping them safe, helping them come home from hospital, providing them with a better quality of life, to have the experiences every child should have the chance to have and the chance to fulfil their potential. But we can\u2019t make any of this happen without help.<\/p>\n

Your help can come in a variety of ways \u2013 you can simply make a donation here https:\/\/newlifecharity.co.uk\/<\/a> as a one off or a monthly amount, which can be as large or small as you want. Every single penny is then used to help and support disabled children and their families.<\/p>\n

You can take part in one the organised fundraising events that Newlife is part of throughout the year, and whether you are an adrenaline junkie, runner, or prefer something a little more low-key, we have something to suit everybody \u2013 but you could also choose to create your own fundraiser. This could be tied to something you like to do anyway, from a cake or craft sale to a sponsored walk, bike ride, or fancy dress day, to something a bit more unusual such as raffling off a skill like washing someone\u2019s car, making them a cake or painting a picture. The only limit in your imagination \u2013 and Newlife will be there to support you every step of the way.<\/p>\n
