The Newlife Nurse Helpline – a lifeline for families at Christmas and beyond<\/h3>\n

Danielle recently contacted our Nurse Helpline for help with a specialist buggy for her 10-year-old son Harry, who has Autism. They hadn\u2019t left the house in more than two years following a deeply traumatic experience which had a severe impact on Harry – to the point where he even stopped eating.<\/p>\n

Local services that could have provided support had been closed due to funding cuts, and despite Danielle\u2019s countless letters to her MP, her pleas for help remained completely unresolved. This is when, feeling utterly alone and unsure where to turn, she reached out to Newlife\u2019s free Nurse Helpline and spoke to one of our nurses, Beth.<\/p>\n

Recognising the urgency of the situation, Beth was able to help and quickly provide a specialist buggy so Danielle and Harry can leave the house for the first time in years – enabling them to enjoy the festive season in their community.<\/p>\n
