A kind-hearted Cannock schoolgirl is set to take part in an adrenaline fuelled tandem skydive to raise much needed funds to help disabled children across the UK.<\/p>\n
Sixteen-year-old Cannock Chase High School student, Jessica Hurd, will be taking off from Tilstock airport in Shropshire when she takes part in the tandem skydive to raise money for Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children on November 12 \u2013 and she has persuaded her 20-year-old sister, Chloe Davies, to take part too.<\/p>\n
This will be the second time Jess has raised funds for Newlife, a Cannock based charity which helps disabled children and their families across the UK receive vital specialist equipment, after she gave up chocolate for Lent four years ago, raising an impressive \u00a3165, but the first for Chloe, based in Stoke-on-Trent.<\/p>\n
Jessica said: \u201cAfter the fundraising I did in 2018 I received a letter from Newlife telling me the money I raised was used to help a little boy receive a specialist car seat he really needed \u2013 which made me really happy that I had been able to help him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been interested in taking part in a skydive for a while, after seeing photos of people doing it, so I thought it would be a really good chance to raise money for Newlife again as I know the charity does so much to help disabled children receive the specialist equipment they need.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m glad Chloe is doing it with me, but I\u2019m not nervous about doing the skydive at all yet \u2013 just excited \u2013although I might feel it when I\u2019m actually in the plane!\u201d<\/p>\n
The daredevil duo are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity to help children with disabilities and terminal illness receive the specialist disability equipment they need which is vital for everyday life, including specialist beds, wheelchairs and buggies, as well as walking frames, communication aids and much more.<\/p>\n

They are doing something very brave for a very good cause and their efforts will make a huge difference to the lives of those we help.\u201d<\/p>\n
