Cannock based national charity Newlife is set to expand \u2013 bringing up to 60 new jobs both locally and around the UK.<\/p>\n
Bouncing back from the devastating impacts of the pandemic when all stores were temporarily closed, Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children is now redoubling its mission to help even more disabled and terminally ill children and their families across the UK while slowing down fast fashion.<\/p>\n
The charity, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, announced new full and part time roles including a new early evening and Saturday fashion production shift, as it continues to expand.<\/p>\n
Mrs Sheila Brown OBE, CEO and Co-founder of the organisation, said: \u201cThe number of disabled children living without equipment is now at tragic levels- with 70 per cent of families reporting their children are living without essential disability equipment. Our mission is now to help even more families than ever before.
\n\u201cLast year we helped over 11,000 UK children and families, but until our national campaigning work improves provision by the statutory services, we can\u2019t let these children suffer – so we must do more. This is why we are expanding our production, stores, fundraising and in service delivery as part of our incredible child and family support team.\u201d
\nNow Newlife is seeking people of all ages and skills for full and part time roles based in Cannock area and further afield. There are full and part time vacancies in line with the expansion, for skills including; retail roles, home based administration posts, Occupational Therapy, roles helping to deliver our services to children and families, management, Fashion Assessors in our production team for day and our early evening shift.<\/p>\n
Sheila said: \u201cWe have a fantastic group of staff, with many working for Newlife for over 15 years. Newlife, which has seven stores across the country has recently opened successful stores in Tamworth and Burton-on-Trent and is set to open a new stores in Newport, South Wales and another in High Wycombe before Christmas.<\/p>\n

From helping disabled and terminally ill children and their families and by protecting our planet as we\u00a0\u00a0recycling goods donated by major retailers in the UK and Europe.
